Not winners, but still grinners
The awards themselves are in place to put an important, yet absent, focus on the ideas and innovation of industry suppliers in the field of technology in relation to the real estate and property industry.
On the 27th of May at the ballroom of the Ashurst in Sydney, Dynamic Methods attended the inaugural PropTech Awards, the first one ever hosted, presented by the PropTech Association Australia. Dynamic Methods’ David Howell and Anita O’Connor attended the Sydney event alongside 80 other likeminded people – Joined by satellite were events held in Brisbane and Perth.
According to the PropTech Association, the awards themselves are in place to put an important, yet absent, focus on the ideas and innovation of industry suppliers in the field of technology in relation to the real estate and property industry.
The awards were split into three main categories, consisting of start-ups, scale-ups, and established suppliers. Of those categories, Forms Live (by Dynamic Methods) was nominated for an award as established suppliers.
We are disappointed to report that we walked out of the ballroom last Thursday without an award in hand, however, we feel incredibly honoured to have been nominated for an award at all.
We may not have won but the fact that Dynamic Methods made it to the finalist stage is an achievement in and of itself. More so, the opportunity to spend the night with a group of our peers and professionals who hold a similar passion for both technology as well as the property and real estate industries was a valuable one, nevertheless.
The event ran smoothly, that is apart from the technical difficulties that come with having presenters via satellite, but the irony of having technology troubles on a night celebrating technology aside, everyone had a great night and laughter was shared all round.
Apologies to those in Brisbane, who participated in a game of ‘have a drink whenever the Sydney crowd applauded’...yes, we did eventually catch on <insert applause here>.
Lastly, we would like to say a big thank you to the Founder and President of the PropTech Association Australia, Kylie Davis, for our consideration for the award.
